Test Ride: Orbea Opal

During the 11th Annual Elitewave .com Penticton Training Camp, I had the pleasure of testing out the 2006 Orbea Opal with full Campagnolo Record and Rolf Vigor Wheels.

I was immediately impressed by the Opal's smooth ride, agility in the corners and light responsive feel when climbing. This bike felt so good! The sensation of riding such a well crafted racing bike defies description. While testing this machine, I felt like I was in a fast car that drives so smoothly you don't realize how fast you are going. Making this machine move quickly is effortless. This bike would exceed the performance demands of any national or international level rider! There are no excuses when you have a bike like this.

This bike deserves solid consideration from anyone looking for increased performance, classy yet high-tech bike appearance, excellent geometry and an invigorating feel. This is truly an exceptional machine that feels and performs better than any other bike I have ridden.

In 2006 and 2007, Orbea will be offering test rides of its latest technology. If you get a chance to ride the Opal, you will be stunned. It has been some time since a bike felt so good and so different from anything else I have ridden. Orbea has created a bicycle that really does feel better than other bikes. This is my new favorite!
